Mild Sense of Dread

On the 5th of August 2014 I entered the MIDI studio of SAE-QANTM and composed some ambient music for a yet to be titled video game. The development team emailed through some information regarding the assets they needed for the production and informed me that they need it by the 7th of August 2014 (oh boy…).

Here is the brief for this particular track;

Background Track

Required Elements:

  • Track 1 – Looping ambience track.

Example/Inspiration:

Feel/Evocation:

  • Evoke loneliness and solitude.
  • Meant to make the player not want to stay where they are.
  • mild sense of dread.

 

With this brief I was able to make an ambient track that loops every 2 minutes and because they included a sample of the feel they were thinking of and a screen shot, the task of composing the track was simplified.
